I hope many of you have taken the opportunity to try your hand at beating the Midas Touch Challenge. It’s been a valuable learning exercise for those that have. I’m aware that quite a few of you have topped VectorVest’s benchmark score of 63.51. Please make sure you get your entry submitted on time. You could win one of three outstanding cash prizes: $2,500, $1,500 or $750.
The Midas Touch Challenge was announced and explained January 26 in the SOTW presentation. The slides below set out the rules and the format you need to use to submit your entry.
We’ll all win when the winners are declared over the next few weeks. There search criteria and trading systems will be displayed and explained in future SOTW presentations. We get to see the Searches that won the prize money and the trading plans that created the best scores. Not necessarily the best returns, but the best overall score. Which means low Maximum Drawdown (the Maalox factor) and a high percent of winning trades.
