Market Recap: A Rollercoaster Week Unveiled

Last week saw the stock market navigating through twists and turns, driven by a mix of economic data and investor sentiments. From a tech-driven sell-off to concerns about rising bond yields, each day brought new challenges.

Tuesday witnessed a broad sell-off, particularly in the tech sector, with rising bond yields spooking investors. The Dow, S&P500, and Nasdaq experienced declines of 0.6%, 0.4%, and 0.2%, respectively.

Wednesday added fuel to the fire as hotter-than-expected retail sales data ignited fears of interest rate hikes. The session ended with the Dow slipping 0.3%, while the S&P500 and Nasdaq both lost 0.6%.

However, Thursday marked a turnaround as technology shares rebounded, leading to an upside close. The Dow gained 0.5%, the S&P 500 added 0.9%, and the Nasdaq surged 1.4%.

The technology sector continued its rally on Friday, concluding the week on a high note. The Dow, S&P500, and Nasdaq rose by 1.1%, 1.2%, and 1.7%, respectively.

Overall, despite a volatile week, all three Major Indices managed an overall win.
